This wonderful hand thrown Victorian Dairy Bowl has the traditional red terracotta clay exterior and a beautiful glazed cream interior complete with a classic brown/terracotta glazed band.
These farmhouse bowls were used for separating cream and bread making, a simple yet beautiful bowl that would make an excellent fruit bowl, planter or centre piece in any rustic surrounding.
One can see this bowl is truely original with the potters hand marks visable where they have wiped the glaze – There are natural imperfections & crazing due to the age and has an historic small blemish/mark on the underside of the rim but no major damage or cracks, it displays very well – Looks great for it’s 100 years +.
