Little Garden Shop is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use littlegardenshop.com, why we collect it, and what your rights are.
Who we are
Little Garden Shop is operated by Claudia de Yong Garden Design. We are the data controller for the information described in this policy.

What we collect
When you place an order, we collect your name, delivery and billing address, email address and telephone number. We need this information to process your order, to deliver it, and to contact you about it if something needs clarifying.
When you contact us, through the contact form or by email, we collect your name, email address and anything else you choose to tell us, so that we can reply.
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and your consent to be contacted.
When you browse the site, we collect limited technical information automatically, including your IP address and details of the pages you visit. This is described further under Cookies below.
Why we are allowed to use it
We process your information on the following grounds:
- To perform our contract with you when you place an order. Without this information we cannot fulfil your order.
- With your consent when you subscribe to our newsletter. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
- For our legitimate interests in running and improving the shop, responding to enquiries and keeping the site secure.
- To comply with our legal obligations, including keeping records of sales for tax purposes.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information, and we do not share your data with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
We do share it with the following service providers, who process it on our behalf so that the shop can operate:
- Stripe Payments Europe Ltd processes card payments. We do not see or store your full card details at any point. Stripe’s own privacy policy applies to their handling of your payment information and can be read at https://stripe.com/gb/privacy
- Royal Mail, Parcelforce and our delivery partners receive your name and delivery address in order to deliver your order.
- Brevo hosts our newsletter mailing list and sends our newsletters. Your email address is stored on their systems.
- Google Analytics provides us with anonymous statistics about how the site is used.
We may also disclose information where we are required to do so by law.
How long we keep it
We keep order records for six years, as we are required to do for tax purposes.
Newsletter subscribers remain on our list until they unsubscribe. Every newsletter we send includes an unsubscribe link.
Enquiries sent through the contact form are kept for two years, then deleted.
Cookies
This site uses cookies. Some are essential: they remember the contents of your basket and keep you logged in to your account. The site will not work properly without them.
Others are used for analytics, to help us understand which pages people visit. You can accept or decline these using the cookie banner when you first visit, and you can change your browser settings at any time to block or delete cookies. Blocking essential cookies will stop parts of the shop working.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- Ask us to delete your information, though we may need to keep order records where the law requires it
- Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use your information
- Ask us to transfer your information to another provider
- Withdraw your consent to marketing at any time

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or by telephone on 0303 123 1113.

Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised date at the top.
